Park West Court Apartments

  Park West Court Apartments of Columbus, Ohio, is the first division of Columbus Center for Human Services, Inc. is a specialized care facility providing comprehensive support services to adults with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities.
   
  The Open Door Art Studio
  ODAS is dedicated to bringing art education into the lives of those in an underserved population. We are committed to fulfilling the severe need for meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities through proper art education. Our visual arts studio provides disabled artists with the opportunity to work collaboratively with professional and volunteer artists. Skills are developed by providing individualized education and mentoring and by assisting each artist to reach their full potential. We encourage artistic expression through creativity, communication and the translation of original works of art into marketable products. Participants gain a sense of purpose and self-worth through the sale of their work. Our gallery also promotes the work of disabled artists who attend similar art programs.
   
 

Supported Community Living

  Supported Community Living is a division of Columbus Center for Human Services Inc., a private non-profit corporation.  CCHS has been certified by the FCBMR/DD and the ODMR/DD since December of 1989; was approved as an Individual Options Waiver Provider by the ODMR/DD in September, 1991; and certified as an OBRA Waiver Provider in October of 1991.

  Columbus Center for Human Services, Inc.
An experienced supported living provider, certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. We are dedicated to assisting individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities to make choices, formulate goals, maximize personal interests and achieve skill development. CCHS promotes Community Inclusion in order to establish strong ties to the community. We provide assistance in homemaker and personal care skills, transportation, social work/case management and behavior management. CCHS, Inc. supports individuals with disabilities in ways that prioritize their health and safety, encourages their personal goals, and promotes a positive role in the community.
